At home, I am definitely not a light sleeper. So, this wave of insomnia is a new-found feeling. With a tight packed schedule I quickly realize that I am losing precious sleeping hours, ones that will come far and few in the next week.
The 2012 Greene team is off to an exciting but tiring start. After finding out that we had restricted access to the campus after-hours–basically our dorms and the rec hall–William improvised a genius opportunity for a group bonding session. A 21-person game of Apples to Apples is surely no small feat! Even though I have been acquainted with my peers for less than twenty-four hours it’s obvious that this is a kind and accepting group–all of us nervous to complete the tasks ahead of us, but ready to face the challenge.
So even with a mere hour and a half of sleep under my belt, I am ready to start the day by completing our first real assignment: this blog post! My roommate, Liza, and I have even mastered the running leap required to climb on top of our high-up beds, an incompatible feature for people of our smaller stature. Let’s hope (for everyone’s sake) that I get some more sleep tonight.
